Military Affairs Council

Mission: "To enhance relationships and foster a heightened understanding between council members and the military community - Fort Bragg and Pope AFB.

You benefit greatly when you become a MAC member...

  • Year-'round socials that build better relationships and communications between civilians and the military.
  • Hear the latest happenings at Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base at the Chamber's Coffee Club the third Thursday of each month at the Holiday Inn-Bordeaux (7:45 AM) - Both Fort Bragg and Pope AFB participate alternately.
  • The Garrison Commander of the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, (Colonel David Fox), has agreed to provide vehicle window decals to any MAC member making a request. This allows easy access to Fort Bragg.
  • Lobbying community positions with the military by keeping the lines of communication open and recognizing the military's value to our community.
  • Command briefings at Pope Air Force Base and Fort Bragg to enlighten MAC members about he specific mission of each military installation and its impact on the community at-large.
  • Newcomer Information acquainting the military with our community.
  • Marketing to develop programs to inform our military population of the business, recreational, and social benefits of the Fayetteville community.
  • Opportunity for member recognition in Chamber newsletters.
  • Opportunity for Business Sponsorship of Events and Programs
  • Two GPC Credit Cardholder Trade Shows held annually at Fort Bragg to help grow your business, plus training and education briefings for exhibitors and cardholders.
  • Business networking opportunities. MAC members are often invited to special events at Fort Bragg and Pope AFB. Examples: Change of Command Ceremonies, the annual Pope AFB-Fort Bragg Open House; concerts; the Fair; Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and many others.
