What does a Chamber of Commerce do? It's a question we all struggle to precisely answer. There are any number of ways to say everything that we do. But when we started thinking more about how we answer that question, we realized one really important thing: Our members ARE our Chamber.
With this page, we hope to share the stories of those members in a variety of different ways. And we can't wait to hear more of the stories of what makes our Chamber who and what it is.
All around you there are businesses proud to be Chamber members. I Am The Chamber is all about them.

What is a Chamber of Commerce? How can you help my business?
We hear those two questions a lot here at the Fayetteville Regional Chamber. In fact, they’re probably the two most asked questions at Chambers around the country. And the reason they get asked so much, is because there aren’t really any easy answers to those questions.
We’ve spent a lot of time trying to find better ways to answer the questions and we’ve done a lot of work to make sure our members understand who we are and what we do for them. But when it came down to it, we realized there was a pretty simple answer to the question of “What is a Chamber.” It was sitting right in front of us.
The answer isn’t that a Chamber is the place you call for information on starting a new business. The answer isn’t that we’re an advocate for small businesses. While we certainly DO those things and they are important to what we do, the answer really is that our Chamber is... our members.
We are incredibly blessed to have nearly 1,000 businesses in our community as members of our organization. THEY are the Chamber. These businesses and the network they represent is what we are all about, and why we do what we do.
Increasing connection in the community; striving to create a strong economic climate; providing better opportunities to support education and shop local initiatives? Those things all happen because of our members.
With that answer now in mind, be prepared as we start telling you the story of our members.
You’ll see “I am the Chamber” all over town. From billboards to radio to newspaper to Internet, the message will be shared everywhere.
We’ll be sharing the stories of those businesses and we hope you’ll show your support of them as we go. Visit our Website and our Facebook pages and you’ll see these stories start to pop up. Watch for the new stickers to appear in business windows all over town. Make sure to thank them for their investment in the future of business in our community.
Your Fayetteville Regional Chamber exists because of these great businesses and we’re excited to share their success. We hope that if you’re not a part of the Chamber yet that you’ll see the value through this campaign.
